Introducing Bradyn Leyde, a remarkable individual who graduated SHS in 1998 and embarked on an inspiring educational and career journey. Bradyn pursued his higher education at Washington State University, where he earned a BA in Social Studies and later attained a Master's Degree in Education. Today, he is an English and Leadership teacher, as well as the Boys' Basketball Coach at Kennewick High School, continuing his dedication to both academics and sports.

Reflecting on his time in high school, Bradyn enthusiastically participated in various sports, including baseball and basketball, showcasing his passion for athletics. He joined the ensemble for a senior year production of "Guys & Dolls," showing his willingness to embrace new experiences and challenges.

Bradyn's participation extended beyond sports and drama, as he actively engaged in clubs and organizations such as Senior Class President, Natural Helpers, Hi-Q, and Knowledge Bowl. These experiences enriched his skill set and opened doors to remarkable opportunities.

Bradyn led the revival of a fraternity at WSU. This endeavor resulted in a remarkable $200,000 remodel of the fraternity house and offered him the chance to participate in leadership conferences across the country. Notably, the fraternity included a total of four graduates from SHS, underscoring the lasting bonds and friendships that can be formed through shared experiences.

To inspire young Turks, Bradyn urges working diligently in school, seizing every opportunity that comes their way, and seeking guidance from adult role models. He attributes much of his success to the mentors and role models who guided him during his school years.

Currently residing in the Tri-Cities area, Bradyn enjoys life with wife Lyn, who is also a dedicated educator. Together, they have two children, Quincy (14) and Truman (12), who share their love for various activities and have been loyal supporters of WSU Football since birth, attending approximately 60 games.

Bradyn's story shows the power of determination, hard work, and the importance of giving back to one's community. His commitment to teaching, coaching, and family underscores the value of pursuing one's passions and contributing to the betterment of the community.
